The Worcester Public Library has two branches: Frances Perkins Branch at Greendale and Great Brook Valley Branch.

Opened in 1914, the former Greendale Branch was renamed in 1994 to honor Frances Perkins who grew up in Worcester and was the first woman cabinet member, serving as Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Secretary of Labor.

The Friends of the Worcester Public Library actively support this Branch.

Great Brook Valley Branch

Since the opening of the Great Brook Valley Branch Library in 1981, its convenient location has been serving the Great Brook Valley housing project residents as well as the general public.

Thanks are due to the Worcester Housing Authority which provides the library with space in a renovated tounhouse.
