Worcester Biography File
This new index is to articles written about Worcester area individuals and famous visitors to Worcester and is not solely an obituary file. The articles may have been clipped from newspapers, magazines, pamphlets or other sources.
Like the materials in our clipping file, the
articles are housed in the Pamphlet File. Each
clipping is alphabetically arranged by surname,
then first name. We have tried to list
all women by their own first name, not just
their husband’s name. After each name there
may be a number, indicating how many items are
about the person. The clippings range from
the 19th century to the present, with many
from the 1940’s. As with our other
files, the biography file is not comprehensive.
All clippings are dated and give the name of
the publication they were taken from.
